Membership

VAPAC has three levels of Membership:

Full Membership – $1100 (inc GST):

shall be open to Performing Arts Centres, performing arts venues and theatres in the State of Victoria which:

  1. undertake entrepreneurial presentation of performing arts events
  2. is primarily active in the performing arts
  3. has facilities designed for the performing arts
  4. has full time professional management
  5. is a not for profit organisation or has the contract to provide a service for a not for profit organisation; and
  6. has Internet capability

Associate MembershipVenue – $990 (inc GST):
where the applicant is an organisation, planning for or having a venue programming performing arts for an audience, but who does not qualify for Full Membership.

For this category of Associate Membership, where the application is from an organisation, associated with a specific venue, Associate Membership would provide the following benefits-

  • A directory listing on the website
  • OYBS and other documents at Members’ rate
  • Attendance at all meetings and networking events at Members’ rates
  • Participation in all discussions on the VAPAC website including those relating to venue management and touring product.

Not withstanding any other provisions in the Statement of Purposes and Rules of the Association Associate Members are not entitled to vote in any proceedings of the Association, or to become an Office Bearer of the Association.

Associate Membership – Non Venue – $990 (inc GST):
where the applicant is a person or company involved with the performing arts industry, but where the applicant has no direct relationship with a specific venue. For this category of Associate Membership, where an application is from an individual or company not associated with a specific venue, Associate Membership would provide the following benefits –

  • A directory listing on the website
  • OYBS and other documents at Members’ rate
  • Attendance at all meetings and networking events at Members’ rates
  • Participation in all discussions on the VAPAC website excluding those relating to venue management and touring product.
