Position: Box Office Supervisor
6 month fixed term contract
MTC are seeking a committed individual to join our team for a six month period, as Box Office Supervisor at our Southbank Theatre box office.
Working in a job-share capacity with one other Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the casual pool of Box Office staff undertaking duties at the Southbank Theatre Box Office, ensuring all ticketing services are provided to a very high standard of customer service and database accuracy. Ticketing services at Southbank Theatre Box Office includes sales (via counter, web and phone), customer service enquires, exchanges, subscription processing and daily administrative tasks.
Additionally, the Box Office Supervisor provides service and support to the broader operations of the Ticketing department, reporting regularly to the Customer Service Sales Manager and contributing to the delivery of superior customer service across the entire Company.
While based primarily at the Southbank Theatre Box Office, work will be undertaken across both our Southbank locations, including both Southbank Theatre and Melbourne Theatre Company Headquarters. Hours of work are based around standard box office opening hours and scheduled performance times, so availability is required Monday to Saturday, 10am to 8pm.
Successful applicants will have strong leadership and team-building skills, excellent customer service experience including responding to feedback and customer service escalations, be an excellent communicator with proven attention to detail and problem solving skills. High level of computer and CRM system skills is required. Knowledge of Tessitura ticketing system will be highly regarded. The ability to work evenings and some Saturdays is required.
