Business Operations and Support Officer – Wyndham City

Position: Business Operations and Support Officer

A bit about the role

As the Business Operations and Support Officer with Wyndham Councils Arts Events and Cultural Venues department, you will provide efficient, effective, and confidential administrative support to the Manager Arts Events and Cultural Venues.

You will support the development and improvement of Department systems and project manage the development and management of administrative systems and initiatives.

What you’ll do

  • Plan and deliver new initiatives and projects associated with the administration of the Department
  • Coordinate cross Departmental initiatives including planning days, Department briefings and Department newsletters
  • Coordinate corporate responses across the Department
  • Support and mentor administration staff across the Department as required
  • Develop and maintain office systems to enable the Manager Arts Events and Cultural Venues in their role
  • Maintain the email systems/inbox and calendar
  • Produce and distribute reports and minutes
  • Support the Department to meet key milestones and deliverables through the dissemination and collation of information on behalf of the Department Manager

What you’ll bring

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Administration (Desirable)
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in business operations and business administration for service delivery
  • Demonstrated competency with IT systems for business operations such as database, finance, Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling
  • Demonstrated time management skills to achieve set objectives 
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
