Position: Technical Supervisor
Flying Fruit Fly Circus (FFFC) is seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, team player with technical experience to join our busy team as our facilities grow to include the new Borderville Theatre.
Proudly regional, the FFFC trains and performs on Wiradjuri Country in Albury-Wodonga. It is one of Australia’s leading youth arts companies and an Arts8 national centre for excellence, delivering a combined circus and academic program for young people aged 8 – 18.
As part of this program, the company creates and tours award-winning contemporary circus for young and family audiences.
The role requires demonstrated experience in:
- Technical services in a performing arts environment and/or relevant tertiary qualification.
- Demonstrated ability to operate a variety of staging, lighting and sound equipment.
- A strong understanding of the needs and requirements of a range of stage presentations.
- Experience and understanding in building operations and venue coordination.
Experience and understanding of circus is highly desirable.
Hours and Salary
This is a full-time position with an initial 12-month contract, with the view to becoming permanent.
Flexibility is essential as the position will be required to work at weekends and evenings as needed over a 76-hour fortnight.
The salary range is $60,000 to $66,000 plus superannuation, based on experience. Assistance with relocation can be negotiated.
