Monash Academy of Performing Arts (MAPA) is a multi-purpose centre within the University that manages the University’s major performing arts infrastructure as an income generating business across five venues, the Robert Blackwood Hall, Alexander Theatre, George Jenkins Theatre, with the Sound Gallery and Jazz Club coming online in 2019. The new Ian Potter Centre for Performing Arts opening in 2019 heralds a new era of performing arts facilities at the Clayton campus which further enhance Monash’s commitment to supporting growth in the performing arts in Melbourne’s south-east, by providing state of the art technology including active acoustics, to professional productions, students, schools and community groups.
The Head of Programming is responsible for the programming, production management and coordination of all events presented by MAPA. Reporting to the General Manager and working to the artistic vision of the Executive Director, you will provide strong artistic assessment and creative rigor for MLIVE presentations, while consulting and collaborating with stakeholders and partners for future seasons. You will also be responsible for directing and managing the programming team in coordination of production scheduling across all MAPA and MLIVE presentations.
