Position: Senior Producer, Creative Industries and Programming
The Senior Producer, Creative Industries and Programming is responsible for supporting the Head of Programming in the development, management, delivery and presentation of Geelong Arts Centre’s curated presenter programs including but not limited to the following programs:
- Creative Engine – supporting the creation and development of new work and a pathway to professional practice for local creatives through professional development opportunities, grants, residencies, workshops and networking. Supporting the Head of Programming in the commissioning of new works.
- Rewire – a new program celebrating new works, contemporary Australian voices, new mediums, immersive and experimental works.
- Music –creating a music program that incorporates a range of large-scale commercial events through to small local gigs for contemporary and classical music.
- Special Events including Melbourne Fringe, White Night, Geelong Design Week etc.
The incumbent will also provide input to the creative strategy that underpins the activation of the Centre’s spaces, including utilising digital platforms, to promote a thriving Creative Industries sector. As a member of the programming team, the Senior Producer collaborates
with a wide range of stakeholders to plan and deliver scheduled programs, develop potential projects and foster innovative industry and artistic partnerships. The incumbent provide input for the future programming initiatives in line with audience development strategies and best practice models, and is self-sufficient in their ability to manage their projects from inception to delivery.
