The Showcase Victoria Circus and Physical Theatre (CaPT) Initiative, supported by Creative Australia and delivered in partnership with Regional Arts Victoria, provides funding and professional development opportunities to the network — all with the goal of increasing the presentation of circus work in venues throughout Victoria.
As part of this Initiative, Showcase Victoria is thrilled to deliver four professional development sessions throughout the remainder of 2025.
First up: our August webinar, Marketing Movement: Positioning CaPT in a Competitive Arts Market, happening Wednesday, 27th August at 12pm (AEST).
This session is designed specifically for presenter venues and artists looking to effectively promote CaPT performances. This will also offer useful perspectives for artists and producers who want to better understand what venue marketing teams are looking for – from the types of promotional material to provide, to how they can collaborate strategically in the lead up to their shows.
Explore how to build marketing campaigns that highlight the unique energy and storytelling of CaPT work, while engaging both existing patrons and new audiences. Learn practical approaches to branding, digital promotion, and multiple ways of cutting through the noise.
