Award Classification: Band 6 salary of $95,020 + super + fortnightly RDO

A bit about the role
As the Team Leader Catering Services within the Arts, Events & Cultural Venues department, you will provide leadership and supervision of staff, facilitate teamwork, professional development and achieve cooperative outcomes, ensuring effective and efficient coordination and provision of catering services across Cultural Venues.
You will also develop and maintain systems, policies and procedures and identify and implement improvement opportunities for catering and back of house services, including resourcing and financial sustainability.
What you’ll do
- Facilitate day-to-day operational management and provide strategic leadership, expertise and support to catering services and back of house staff
- Provide expertise in hospitality and catering services with an emphasis on food and beverage, customer experience and financial sustainability
- Work collaboratively and efficiently as a valued leadership team member to identify venue and service improvement efficiencies and opportunities
- Develop and facilitate service and venue-based processes, systems, operational budgets, performance measures, reporting, projects and initiatives for the Unit
- Provide direction, guidance and advice on all aspects of food services function, including regulatory legislative and licensing compliance requirements related to Catering Services
- Coordinate the effective and efficient day-to-day operation of the onsite café
- Monitor, review and approve menu development and delivery of catering services
What you’ll bring
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality or other relevant discipline
- Food Handling and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificates
- First Aid (Level 2) (Desirable)
- Extensive knowledge of policies, regulations and guidelines regarding the management and delivery of hospitality services, including stock control, ordering and profit analysis
- Extensive experience working collaboratively with industry stakeholders and organisations to achieve joint outcomes
- A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
