Showcase Victoria
Mark your calendars for May 21st and 22nd at Darebin Arts Centre, because Showcase Victoria will return in 2024! As Victoria’s premier performing arts touring marketplace, Showcase plays a crucial role in connecting presenters, artists, and producers. The event will run over two full days, featuring work excerpts, pitching sessions, and networking opportunities. Stay tuned for more details in the upcoming weeks and months as our team releases more information. Join us as we shape the future of touring!

March Member Meeting 

We are thrilled to announce our first member meeting for 2024 at the incredible new performing arts centre in Whitehorse, The Round. This gathering will be focussed on the future of programming, understanding current trends and emerging challenges. With increasing costs to touring, the emergence of slow touring, and greater focus on equity and inclusion within programming practices; venue managers and programmers need to ensure their practices and policies are evolving and adapting. Join us to hear from sector leaders and participate in vital discussions with colleagues. 
Date: Tuesday, 19th & Wednesday, 20th, March.

Join us online for our Annual General Meeting, where our Executive Committee elections will be held, and we will launch our new Strategic Plan.

October Member Meeting and Professional Development Conference
We are excited to be holding our final member meeting for 2024 at The Lighthouse Theatre in Warrnambool. This meeting will focus on health and wellbeing in our venues, workplace culture, career planning and progression, and staff retention. 
Date: Tuesday, 8th & Wednesday, 9th, October.

Monthly Member Webinars
Each month from February to November in 2024 we will run online professional development sessions and workshops for our members. These events will provide you and your teams with valuable opportunities to upskill and stay on top of emerging issues in our industry.

TMN Conference #1
Registrations are now open for the first Technical Managers Meeting of 2024, which will take place in Tasmania. This event offers a unique opportunity for members to explore various venues in the area. Due to the meeting being held across the strait, there is a firm registration deadline of Friday, December 15th, and no applications will be accepted after this date. To secure your spot at this meeting, please ensure you complete your registration before the deadline. Please follow the link below for registration. TMN Conference #2 and Trade Show
If you haven’t been to a TMN Trade show before, in addition to meeting topics, we spend time on the trade show floor and have presentations from sponsors with a lot of gear and merch hanging around. It’s a fantastic & focused event for VAPAC venues and members that is not open to the public, and we absolutely encourage you to bring your crew along. More information will be available in the discussion forums in the new year.
