James Buick, the Director of Artefact, has over 30 years experience in the arts industry and local government sector from Senior Arts & Culture Management positions and the development of award winning arts and cultural facilities to the presentation of exciting and engaging arts programming. In addition, James has established an excellent network within the arts and associated services in Australia and has been an office bearer in peak industry bodies.
In 2011, James established Artefact Consulting and is able to bring a practical and realistic approach to the development of cultural facilities, programming and business planning for arts organisations. As a creative and strategic thinker, James provides expert advice based on current best practice for arts facilities. This is balanced with ensuring that the core activity of promoting and supporting arts and cultural activity remains the primary goal.
