Position: Visual Arts Officer

We are seeking a Visual Arts Officer to join the Arts and Cultural Development team. Reporting to the Visual Arts Coordinator, your role is to:
- develop and deliver Kingston’s Visual Arts Program with a particular focus on Public Art,
- provide curatorial support for Kingston’s Public Art Program and Heritage, Civic and Art Collections,
- contribute to council’s exhibition program, and
- develop stakeholder engagement strategies with internal and external partners.
You will have:
- Experience in supporting art, heritage or civic collections,
- Public art procurement, installation and maintenance,
- A background in a GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives, and museums) organisation facilitating exhibition and education programs,
- Ability to demonstrate the City of Kingston’s values of Future Orientated, Accountable, Dynamic, Expert, Community and Celebration, and
- Appropriate academic qualification and/or experience in project management.
